Jakarta to Osaka: TAZA at World Expo 2025

Jakarta, 12 July 2025. As part of our commitment to ethical and sustainable fashion, TAZA marks a new milestone through our participation at the Indonesia Pavilion for the prestigious World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. We are honored to be selected as the only Indonesian modest fashion brand to showcase at the event from 30 June to 5 July 2025, introducing a new face of Indonesian modest fashion to millions of global visitors.

For us, this participation is more than an expansion into the global market—it is a tangible step toward realizing our vision of presenting Indonesian Muslimah fashion on an international scale. Guided by innovation, authenticity, and sincerity in every creation, TAZA demonstrates that local modest fashion is not only globally competitive, but also capable of becoming a meaningful medium of cultural diplomacy on the world stage.

Our Founder, Ashila Ramadhani, shared, “TAZA blends the grace of globally-inspired abayas with syar’i values and subtle Indonesian nuances—not merely for aesthetics, but as a cultural strategy. We want to show that modest fashion from Indonesia can be relevant internationally without abandoning the roots of modesty and the distinct character of our Muslim women—gentle, resilient, self-aware, and compassionate. This is why World Expo 2025 Osaka is a strategic moment for us. Our presence here isn’t only to introduce products, but to broaden the meaning of what Muslim fashion represents today.”

Carrying the Essence of Indonesian Modesty to World Expo 2025 Osaka

World Expo 2025 Osaka runs from 13 April to 13 October 2025 under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” highlighting global collaboration toward a sustainable future. Echoing this spirit, the Indonesia Pavilion carries the theme “Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, Future,” emphasizing balance between nature, heritage, and innovation as the foundation for sustainable development.

TAZA’s participation reflects this harmony—integrating global relevance, syar’i values, and social and environmental responsibility into each design. With more than 150 participating countries, the event serves as a strategic platform for us to showcase Indonesian modest fashion to a worldwide audience.

As a value-driven brand, sustainability remains a core principle within our creative and operational processes. At this international exhibition, our commitment is demonstrated through contributions aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

Responsible Consumption and Production:

We implement slow fashion through limited production focused on quality, durability, and timeless design. The use of eco-conscious materials such as natural fibers strengthens our commitment to responsible consumption and production.

Climate Action:

All production processes are carried out locally to minimize carbon footprint while empowering local artisans and supporting an eco-friendly industry ecosystem.

Women Empowerment:

We actively support the empowerment of Muslim women through initiatives grounded in syar’i values and feminine fitrah. Through community collaborations, responsible lifestyle campaigns, and upcoming educational programs, TAZA encourages women to recognize their potential and purpose.

Decent Work and Economic Growth:

We are committed to building a fair and humane work ecosystem. By involving local tailors and artisans, we ensure ethical production processes that generate sustainable economic value.

This participation marks not an end, but a beginning and an entry point into a broader journey of bringing Indonesian modest fashion to the global stage. “When we stepped onto the World Expo platform in Osaka, we didn’t just bring clothing pieces. We brought a voice. A story. A hope—that Indonesian modest fashion can be part of the global conversation, not only about style, but about a way of living,” Ashila concluded.

More than an exhibition, our presence at World Expo 2025 Osaka represents a new face of Indonesia’s creative industry—one that believes the future is shaped not only by innovation, but by values that are preserved, nurtured, and passed on sustainably.
