26°Rhapsody Recap: Planting, Blooming, Fruiting, and What It Means to Grow

Planting

Somewhere within us is that little kid who’s experiencing life in this world for the first time. A ‘mess’ used to mean scattered crayons, sticky fingers, dried Play-Doh, and spilled milk. Meanwhile, the mess today looks more like a series of unread chats, unspoken worries, questions about the future, and a never-ending to-do list.

It’s a time capsule to remember what we used to dream of being: a doctor? A chef? A baker?. One day it's organizing plastic teddy bears by color, and the next day it’s color-coding important files. One day it's building sandcastles, and the next day it's building homes. One day it’s doodles on the back of a notebook, and the next day it’s sketching fashion pieces at an international show. Some of our childhood dreams don’t really leave us; they simply grow alongside us.

The Cherry Tomato becomes a representation of growth; from a tiny seed, it sprouts, blooms, fruits, and continues to produce over time. To trace this idea, we sent tomato plants to a few of our sisters, inviting them to capture their days and reflections as they grow with them.

Because as we grow older, we realize not to just look around, but also to look within ourselves.

Blooming

In this chapter, we explore the definitions of growth: whether it’s changing into someone new or understanding ourselves a little better, missing moments in the past despite not wishing to redo them, or feeling slightly lost along the way. It’s the unfiltered parts of life we often share yet leave unspoken.

We hosted TAZA’s Summer Marché – Vol. I, an exclusive private viewing of our Summer 2026 collection at RUMA Dining. In line with the campaign’s star, guests learned to recreate a Tomato Bruschetta and Tomato & Burrata Salad with Chef Archie Prameswara in pairs, gathered at an intimate garden soirée, and competed in fun games with colorful fruits and vegetables on hand.

In TAZA’s The Room series, Fathia Suri shared her story of raising two beautiful daughters in Norway. Building a family far from her loved ones back in Indonesia made her realize the value of time spent with them even more, the understanding that true support knows no time or distance, and, ultimately, the necessity of relying on Allah and seeking His guidance. She may doubt her parenting, but the teacher’s remark about her daughter’s compassion was a sign that she’s doing a wonderful job. In the end, she notes that despite the challenges, she is enjoying this season of her life.

Meanwhile, Rima Arimbi opened up about how moving from Medan to Paris made her build resilience. There were frustrating moments when some doors did not open, but this reminded her that Allah has the bigger picture of what we’re unable to comprehend, that everyone has different paths, and that life isn’t a race. As we move forward in life, remember that there’s a chance we are living in a chapter a younger version of ourselves once prayed for. (Allāhumma bārik to our sisters!)

Fruiting

The sweetest part of this season is not to harvest just for ourselves, but to share the yield and spark growth in those around us.

We revisited the tomato plants residing in the homes of our sisters and found that no two seeds share the same story. One plant climbed toward the ceiling, while another extended sideways. A few struggled and decayed, while another grew a bright yellow petal. Along the way, our sisters wondered whether they had chosen the right soil, fertilizer, or given enough sunlight and water. Sometimes, despite our best intentions and efforts, things wither, and learning to finally accept that, too, is part of the journey.

Inspired by the vibrant and lively European markets, TAZA’s Summer Marché – Vol. II reimagines traditional bazaars as more than a place to shop; it’s a space designed to inspire connection. Over four days at Barnyard, an urban nature reserve in South Jakarta, we brought together farm field trips, cooking classes, flower arrangement sessions, sisters-only Pilates, and a morning lecture to bring the community closer.

In collaboration with RUTSU and Atelier Rasa, our culinary artisans transformed our Cherry Tomato into a dynamic menu of sweet and savory companions: From milk-infused drinks and delicate mochi bowls to crisp dabu-dabu nachos, tangy salsa on beef, and a silky tomato cheese gelato. It reminds us that growth is best experienced when savoring the season together, the bitter along with the sweet.

What It Means to Grow

Growth is not a one-time harvest. It’s the patience of tending to our roots, recognizing that we all stretch differently, and finding contentment in the messy, try-it-again-for-the-third-time kind of thing.

Wherever you find yourself today, may you nourish your space, let go of the pressure to hurry, and trust the bigger picture He has written for you.

JazākunAllāhu khayran for planting, growing, and blooming with us this summer.

It’s Time to Turn a New Leaf and Root for the Little Things

Ask anyone to define the word, and they’ll pause. Ask them in another timeline, and perhaps it’ll be different.
